Dematec’s proven capability in process control recently expanded to water and waste water treatment systems, including telemetry, dosing control, instrumentation, pumping and reticulation.
Recent projects include the Glenelg to Adelaide Parklands (GAP) recycled water pipeline where Dematec provided design and commissioning services for electrical power and control systems to Leightons Construction. The Dematec team has experience in large scale pumping systems, chemical dosing systems, special purpose water industry equipment and project management skills in municipal water and waste water infrastructure projects.

Reference Projects
Bolivar Waste Water Plant
Dematec supplied and installed 12 new Differential Pressure (DP) cells at the Bolivar DAFF plant to replace the existing filter outlet pressure switches. This included installation and commissioning of new PLC I/O and SCADA points to monitor the pressure drop across the filter beds. The pressure drop is used to control filter backwashing operations, as well as to generate alarms under abnormal conditions.
TRILITY - Willunga WWTP Aeration Upgrade
Dematec recently modified the existing PLC and SCADA control of the Willunga WWTP process to ugrade from a surface aeration system to a membrane aeration system using 3 new Kaeser blowers.
Victor Harbor WWTP network upgrade
Dematec assisted TRILITY with PLC, SCADA, telemetry and electrical isntallation work as the Victor Harbor WWTP recently underwent a major upgrade including works such as
- New treated water storage lagoon to provide greater capacity for re-use water to its customers.
- New chlorine dosing arrangement for transfer of treated water to the new lagoon.
- Upgrade the exisitng telemetry network from serial to high speed Ethernet.
- New waste water storage system at inlet to provide greater protection agaisnt high inflow.
- New customer take off valve stations for the re-use network.
