Application: Automation of an existing manual process

Dematec formed an association with an industry body to undertake some R&D work after demonstrating some of the innovative solutions delivered to other industry sectors. The purpose of the research is to investigate the feasibility of automating some of the labour intensive aspects of the livestock industry. The aim is to deliver a commercially viable system that will assist the industry in addressing problems associated with repetitive manual actions, absenteeism, and other labour issues.

This project has provided an exciting, ongoing opportunity for Dematec trainees to actively contribute in the form of research, planning and hands-on problem solving.
