OneTeamMethodology

In recent years, Dematec has grown through introducing a range of skills to meet clients’ more complex and challenging needs. The inter-operability of this wider skill base has proven enormously valuable. It is integrated within a customer focused framework to work with its clients in today’s increasingly chaotic business environment. The multidisciplinary approach is called OneTeamMethodology.

It brings together the conceptual, computing and electrical skills and trades of the diverse Dematec team into a comprehensive, scale-able and fast-track project solution. As the company grew, OneTeamMethodology evolved from the family team approach with sound commercial values and client focus.

Defining roles and structure and managing time, personnel and budget are the project management fundamentals that are essential to good outcomes. Today, global, not partial, solutions are more critical than ever and Dematec’s team approach is designed to reach across all disciplines with a common purpose to deliver best-of-breed solutions.

One Team Methodology

“Projects are more complex, risks are most-times greater, budgets are tighter and speed is paramount,” says CEO David Hart. “You have to be strategic in the provision of services that are typically growth- or survival-oriented. Australian companies have had to be robust to survive and most have responded positively to the multitude of technological developments in the past decade. With OneTeamMethodology, we are unifying our skilled people with a set of tools for creating opportunities or solving a particular problem for our clients. It gives us speed, flexibility and a purposeful dialogue with the customer.”

When founding Dematec, Denise and Mark Stevens made a conscious effort to base the new company on their family values, nurturing employees as Dematec prospered. They believed then as they do today that a cohesive teamwork approach relies on attracting the right people with a common set of values to continually improve through education and training, on the job, at university and TAFE.

Dematec offers undergraduate placements for student engineers as well as positions for newly graduated engineers from Adelaide University and the University of South Australia.
